A woman is dead, a teenager is missing, and the partners of a vacation stem cell travel agency in Miami are suspects. One partner is the father of the missing girl and the other one is the husband of the murdered woman. The widower is unreachable, having taken clients on a stem cell therapy trip to the Caribbean.

Kathryn Lane recently spent some time with The Big Thrill discussing her latest mystery, MISSING IN MIAMI:

What attracts you to this book’s genre?

Writing wakes me up to a beautiful day, every day, where I can hardly wait to compose the next section of the story. Research, however trivial, is the loom that weaves together a plot into a believable story and keeps me engaged for hours without realizing the passage of time.

Kathryn Lane

What was the biggest challenge this book presented? What about the biggest opportunity?

Challenges, timing with a busy life. Opportunities, expressing my thoughts on a current topic.

Was there anything new you discovered, or that surprised you, as you wrote this book?

Life in Cuba was the most interesting. Not surprising unfortunately.
