What if a quiet, calculated coup—led by insiders and foreign allies—was already underway in the United States?

When Senator Edward Stanley is found murdered with an ice pick driven into his skull—its handle etched with the words “You didn’t listen”—the president demands absolute silence. No press. No leaks. No questions.

Secret Service agent Sam Carstairs is tasked with quietly solving the crime. But as the investigation spirals into a web of international ties, suicide-prone suspects, and invisible clues, one chilling truth emerges: this isn’t just a murder—it’s the opening move in a silent, bloodless coup to seize the United States from within.

Forced to work off the books with a retired Mossad agent and a rogue PI, Sam suspects even the president himself. The deeper he digs, the more blurred the lines become—between truth and loyalty, justice and survival.

As the clock ticks invisibly toward national collapse, Sam’s small team plans a ruthless takedown—one that must never be traced, never be known, and never be spoken of again. Because the coup has already begun. And stopping it will mean crossing every line the Constitution was built to uphold.

About the Author

I was born in Brooklyn NY, USA, and through subsequent moves, spent the majority of my formative years in New Rochelle, NY (Westchester County). I attended the Philadelphia Textile Institute, and have been a prolific reader all of my life. I was first introduced to the intrigue of free-style writing, and encouraged to pursue it, by my college English Professor. My business career began in the textile industry, which included international travels. These travels covered Canada, Northern South America some areas of Central America, Europe, and a number of Caribbean islands; Cuba being the most often visited. I wrote for my college newspaper. As manager of the retail division, of our family textile business, I prepared advertising copy for local and national printed media. My working career consisted of a family, wholesale, textile business (import/export), as well as a retail division. That was followed by a number of years in the retail food business, then as a design/build construction contractor. For the past twenty-four years, I worked as a state-certified, residential, real estate appraiser. I enjoy cooking, baking and wood working. I enjoy fishing, and hopefully will, now, have the time to revisit the sport. My wife and I, currently, live in southeastern North Carolina. I center my writing on the Suspense/Thriller genre.
