After retiring from teaching, I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a published author. Having spent some time cold querying literary agents myself before getting published, I thought it would be fun to write a book about aspiring authors and the challenges we face. That's how Cold Query came to be. Inspired by one of the Great Lakes and a beautiful beach town, Cold Query is set in a charming little spot on the lakeshore. I've combined a place I enjoy visiting with my love of all things literary. Like my main character, who is also a teacher, I love book clubs, book festivals, and online writing groups. As a mystery/thriller author, it's only natural that I added murder to her idyllic writer's community.
