Allen Zadoff recently spent some time with The Big Thrill discussing his latest thriller, THE AI REVOLUTION FOR WRITERS.
Can you pinpoint a moment or incident that sparked the idea for this book?
I was introduced to AI tools by a photographer friend who showed me how image generation AI worked. This was before the release of ChatGPT. When I first encountered the Large Language Model AI systems, I had a flash of lightning moment. I saw that we as writers suddenly had access to something incredibly powerful and beyond the scope of anything I’d encountered. I also had a moment of existential dread as I imagined the end of our profession as we know it. That’s when I began to learn about AI, determined to use it as a tool and not Turin my back to it.
In addition to a great read, what do you hope readers will take away from this story?
I believe this is an important book for every writer to read now. It will demystify AI tools and give writers the immediate ability to use them.
What can you share about what you’re working on next?
I’ve got a psychological thriller currently in my agent’s hands. Exciting stuff!
