As the Jack-of-All-Wicked-Trades for a secretive French military intelligence agency, Kingsley Boissonneault has done it all—spied, lied, and killed under orders. But his latest assignment is quite out of the ordinary. His commanding officer’s nephew has disappeared inside a sex cult, and Kingsley has been tasked with bringing him home to safety.

Once inside the château, however, Kingsley quickly falls under the spell cast by the enigmatic Madame, a woman of wisdom, power, and beauty. She offers Kingsley the one thing he’s always wanted. But the price? Giving up forever the only person he’s ever loved.

Award-winning author Tiffany Reisz took some time out of her writing schedule to discuss her latest thriller with The Big Thrill, THE CHATEAU:

What do you hope readers will take away from this book?

I hope readers will be entertained by the book, amused and aroused, and fall in love with my angst-ridden spy hero.

How does this book make a contribution to the genre?

It’s an erotic thriller and there just aren’t enough of those around. Sex and death are the oldest plot devices in story and when you put them together, you get a thrilling combination.

No spoilers, but what can you tell us about your book that we won’t find in the jacket copy or the PR material?

It’s funny.

What authors or books have influenced your career as a writer, and why?

David Baldacci for the fun of writing a thriller. Anne Rice for the fun of erotic.

Tiffany Reisz is the author of the internationally bestselling and award-winning Original Sinners series for Mira Books (Harlequin/Mills & Boon). Tiffany’s books inhabit a sexy shadowy world where romance, erotica and literature meet and do immoral and possibly illegal things to each other. She describes her genre as “literary friction,” a term she stole from her main character, who gets in trouble almost as often as the author herself. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her husband, author Andrew Shaffer, and two cats. If she couldn’t write, she would die.
