Connie Di Marco recently spent some time with The Big Thrill discussing her latest mystery, ALL SIGNS POINT TO MURDER:

What do you hope readers will take away from this book?

I hope readers will discovery an offbeat world and enough twists and turns to keep them turning pages.

How does this book make a contribution to the genre?

ALL SIGNS POINT TO MURDER is a well-plotted mystery featuring an amateur sleuth whose investigations uncover big city crimes. It’s a traditional mystery with thriller elements.

Was there anything new you discovered, or surprised you, as you wrote this book?

Every book surprises me, including this one. I’m always amazed when I struggle to the bitter end and discover I’ve created something readable, or even enjoyable!

No spoilers, but what can you tell us about your book that we won’t find in the jacket copy or the PR material?

This story is based on a real life case. It’s my take on what I believe really happened, not the verdict of the court.

What authors or books have influenced your career as a writer, and why?

So many, it’s hard to say—John D. MacDonald, Dorothy Sayers, Sue Grafton, Nicholas Freeling, Jussi Adler-Olsen, Maj Sjovall and Per Wahloo, Donna Leon, Andrea Camilleri. I could go on and on. I’m constantly reading and devour everything I can possibly find.
