Iraq war vet and Cornell grad student Harper Jennings is having a difficult pregnancy and is on bed rest. Her husband is away, so her alcoholic mother and mom’s newest boyfriend are staying with her. It’s just before Christmas and the campus is deserted, but out Harper’s window late one night, she sees two men fighting in the snow; one of them stark naked. Harper calls police and rushes outside but finds no sign of them.

Meantime, young men are going missing in Ithaca. Her mother’s boyfriend is acting strangely. Harper finds a gun and a lot of money in the guestroom. And two members of the fraternity next door start hanging around. Before she knows it, Harper is caught in a complex web of intrigue that threatens not just her, but her mother and her unborn baby.
